After 25 years of offering hospitality in two different  East Devon locations,  Robert and Patricia Spencer are delighted to invite old friends and new to their latest  (smaller) venture…Applebarn cottage.

Secluded, tranquil, a tucked away  haven with simply wonderful views, and  pretty restored cottage gardens, complete with Italian water feature, which echoes the Tuscan feel to the property,  it has bog gardens, and  small wood.


Not two miles away from their previous locations, Applebarn looks towards Dorset, with far reaching views to Lamberts Castle and Pilsden Pen, yet remains a stones throw from the villages  of Membury and Chardstock, easily reached from the A30 and A35.

Though  the venture is much smaller, guests old and new can expect the same warm welcome, attention to comfort, and most importantly, fresh local  food, mostly organic, and with imaginative menus as always.

Lamberts suite is a separate suite, with huge bedroom, three piece suite, colour T.V. and video, patio doors to sun terrace with amazing views, table and chairs. A pretty ensuite bathroom, with bath and shower over, small informal dining area, and mini kitchen for hot drinks and snacks, equipped with fridge freezer, tea/coffee making, toaster and microwave etc.

Wisteria suite is a very pretty, private suite within Applebarn, with it's own access, newly built pretty bathroom, with bath and shower over, and wonderful double aspect views from the cottage bedroom. All beds can be double or twin.
